Community Involvement
As educators and proud union members, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the classroom. The MTA is committed to building strong partnerships with local organizations, businesses and community groups to make a positive impact in our community. Whether it's organizing food and clothing drives, volunteering in local events, or joining local efforts that lift up families, our members are proud to stand alongside community partners and create meaningful change. Together, we work to ensure that our schools, and our community, thrive.

MTA Volunteers Support Middletown Kids Day!
MTA members proudly volunteered at the City of Middletown Police Department's Kids Day Celebration on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Thrall Park! From 11 AM to 2 PM, the park was buzzing with energy as our members helped support a day dedicated to family fun and community connection. The free event featured games, activities, a popular Touch-a-Truck event, a Police K-9 demonstration, and plenty of free food and ice cream. It was a truly successful day for our community's children!
